Creating and Managing Sequences

Sequences in Channelyze are automated email workflows designed to engage leads and partners based on their behavior. They allow you to send personalized emails, branch based on recipient actions, update deal stages, and optimize outreach using AI.

What is a Sequence?

A Sequence is a flow of actions that begins with an email and adapts based on how the recipient interacts with it. You can configure branching logic, delays, and follow-up actions to build intelligent outreach campaigns that evolve over time.

Sequences are especially powerful when combined with Channelyze’s AI-driven email personalization and genetic optimization engine, which continuously improves messaging based on performance.

Creating a Sequence

To create a new Sequence:

  1. Navigate to the Sequences section in the Outreach module.
  2. Click Create Sequence.
  3. Give your sequence a name and description.
  4. Begin adding steps to your sequence using the visual flow editor.

Adding an Email Step

To send an email as part of your sequence:

  1. Click Add Step and choose Send Email.
  2. Select an existing email template from the dropdown.
  3. Optionally click the pencil icon to edit the template.
  4. Choose the number of variations (e.g., Two).
  5. Select the variation method:
    • Static: Sends fixed versions of the email.
    • Genetic: Uses AI to generate and evolve email variants.

Genetic Optimization

If you select Genetic as the variation method, Channelyze will:

This ensures your outreach improves continuously without manual intervention.

Adding Delays

You can add delay steps to control timing between actions:

Adding Branches

Branching allows you to create decision points based on recipient behavior. Available branches include:

Each branch can lead to different actions or follow-up emails depending on the outcome.

Workflow Actions

You can add the following actions to automate your outreach:

Example Sequence Flow

Here’s a typical sequence structure:

  1. Send Email
    → AI-generated with two variations
→ Track opens, clicks, replies, opt-outs

  2. Wait for Click
→ Wait up to 2 days

  3. Branch: Was a link clicked?
    • Yes: Set deal stage to “Link Clicked”
      • Branch: Did the recipient unsubscribe?
        • Yes: Set deal stage to “Unsubscribed”
        • No: Continue nurturing
    • No: Send follow-up email
  4. Repeat Wait and Branch Logic

Performance Tracking

Each email variation is scored based on:

These metrics feed into the genetic optimization engine to evolve your outreach strategy.
