Creating a Lead Generation Campaign
To create a new lead generation campaign, go to Marketing → Lead Generation and press the NEW CAMPAIGN button. A step-by-step dialog will guide you through the setup.
Step 1: Name Your Campaign
Give your campaign a clear, descriptive name that reflects its purpose.
Examples:
- “Find cybersecurity resellers in Germany”
- “Target VARs for marketing automation in North America”
This helps you identify and manage multiple campaigns later.
Press Next.
Step 2: Product Information
Provide details about the product or service you’re promoting:
- Name: e.g., “SecureMail Pro”
- Website URL: Link to a product page or landing page
- Type: Choose Product or Service
- Description: Write a concise summary that includes:
- What the product/service does
- Who it’s for
- Unique selling points
- Any industry-specific relevance
Tip: Be specific. Instead of “email security,” say “AI-powered email threat detection for mid-sized marketing agencies.”
Press Next.
Step 3: Target Market
Choose how to define your target audience:
Option 1: Let AI Specify the Target Market
Use this if you’re unsure or want Channelyze to infer the best-fit market based on your product description.
Option 2: I Will Describe the Target Market
Write a freeform description like: > “Mid-sized digital marketing agencies in Florida with 10–100 employees.”
Option 3: I Will Choose Settings to Define the Target Market
Manually select: - Industry - Company size - Geographic region
Tip: Use this for precision targeting when you already know your ideal partner profile.
Press Next.
Step 4: Target Person
Describe the job role of the person you want to reach at each company.
Examples: - “Chief Information Security Officer” - “Head of Channel Sales” - “Marketing Technology Director”
Tip: Be specific. Avoid generic titles like “Manager” unless necessary.
Press Next.
Step 5: Qualifying Prospects as Leads
Decide what happens when you convert a prospect into a lead:
Default: No Outreach Sequence
Prospects are saved as leads but no emails are sent.
Option: Enroll in Existing Sequence
Choose a pre-built outreach sequence.
Option: Create a New Sequence Using AI
Let Channelyze generate a personalized email sequence. You’ll need to provide:
- Call to Action:
- “Reply to the email”
- “Visit a website”
- “Book a meeting”
- Email Length:
- Short (recommended for cold outreach)
- Medium or Long (for more detailed messaging)
- Personalization:
- Enable personalization to include company-specific insights
- Improves engagement and response rates
Tip: Keep the tone professional but conversational. Avoid jargon unless it’s industry-specific.
Press Finish.
Step 6: Publish the Campaign
Your campaign is now in Draft mode.
To activate it:
- Go to the campaign’s Actions menu
- Select Publish Campaign
Channelyze will begin prospecting based on your criteria. This may take a few hours. You’ll receive an email when prospects are found.
