Creating an Email Template Using AI
Channelyze allows you to generate email templates using AI by providing structured input about your product, audience, tone, and messaging goals. This feature is especially useful for cold outreach, partner engagement, and campaign personalization.
Accessing the Email Designer
To create a new email template using AI:
- Navigate to Sequences from the left-hand menu.
- Click the Templates tab and then Create Template.
- You will be taken to the Design Email page, which includes two tabs:
- Settings: Where you define the structure and AI inputs.
- Content: Where you review and edit the generated email.
Configuring Template Settings
In the Settings tab, fill out the following fields:
Basic Information

Template name
Enter a descriptive name for your template.
Example: “Cold outreach email to introduce our company” -
Subject
Specify the subject line for the email.
AI Generative Information
These fields guide the AI in generating a tailored email:

What type of email is this?
Choose the purpose of the email (e.g., Cold outreach email, Follow-up, Introduction). -
Call to action
Select the desired action you want the recipient to take (e.g., Book a meeting, Visit website, None). -
Describe what you are selling or provide a product URL*
Provide a short description or link to your product or service. -
What tone would you like to adopt?
Choose the tone of the email (e.g., Professional, Friendly, Assertive). -
Who are you selling to?*
Describe your target audience.
Example: “IT directors in small and mid-size media companies” -
What is the suggested length of the email?
Choose from Short, Medium, or Long. -
Are you targeting customers or channel partners?
Select the audience type to tailor the messaging. -
Personalize the email if possible?
Choose whether to include personalization (e.g., recipient’s name, company). -
Describe anything specific you want to say in this email
Add any key points or messages you want the AI to include.
Example: “Highlight how easy the software is to use”
Manually editing the email
If you prefer not to use AI to generate the email template then simply click the Content tab and supply the content for the email.
You can use replacement fields, such as {{recipient.firstname}}, {{recipient.lastname}}, {{sender.name}}.
Generating the Email
Once all fields are completed:
- Click Generate With AI to create the email content.
- Review the generated email in the Content tab.
- Make any manual edits if needed.
- Click OK to save the template or CANCEL to discard changes.
Best Practices
- Be specific in your product description and target audience to improve relevance.
- Use personalization to increase engagement.
- Choose a tone that matches your brand voice and audience expectations.
- Review AI-generated content for accuracy and clarity before sending.
